Our crazy, fun, one-of-a-kind race, the Brompton World Championships made its return to London with a bang! Held in Kings Cross alongside the first edition of the londoncyclefestival, the buzz and pageantry was back. Brompton owners travelled far and wide to join and take part over a fantastic, sunny weekend in Central London.

Kicking off on the Friday night with our wonderful Brompton community, we hosted a social ride from Kings Cross to Spitalfields market. Over 85 of you cycled with us and enjoyed an evening of food and drink, meeting Brompton owners from near and far.

Saturday saw the real fun begin. With our 500 racers (and Bromptons) gathering in Coal Drops Yard, and the festival vibe kicking off, the excitement and anticipation was palpable. With our one strict rule, no lycra, we saw some spectacular outfits (congratulations to our Best Dressed winners!) battle it out in over 10 heats and five laps of the 900m course. All leading to one epic final finisher, a 10 lap final to crown our Fastest Male and Fastest Female - both winning a bespoke BWC bike.

The weekend came to a close on the Sunday with 100 Bromptons setting off on two social rides, all ending in a well deserved picnic in Greenwich.
