Race format
This year’s race consists of 10 heats with 50 riders in each heat. Each heat will consist of 5 laps around a 900m urban track, which riders will need to complete within 15-minutes. Riders heats are determined according to the average times provided during the ticket registration process, and separated across both female and male/open categories. For each heat, there will be the traditional Le Mans style start, where you dash to unfold your Brompton and race around the track.
Each rider will be provided with a time chip and the top 50 fastest from across all 10 heats will then compete in their respective finals to determine the winners of the Brompton World Championships London 2025. For the final, there will be the traditional dash to unfold your Brompton and race around the track for 10 laps. Please note the unfolding will be included in the time to complete the course for both races, female and male/open.
