Raw Polished Titanium
Titanium is ultra strong and ultra light. It’s the world’s number one naturally occurring metal for strength-to-weight ratio. Being naturally corrosion resistant means high shine and zero rust in all conditions. Shot peened for increased strength. The color, dependant on the light, shines between silvery-white to gunmetal gray.
Manufacturing a Titanium Folding Frame
All Brompton titanium framesets start their life as a set of tubes in our specialist TIG welding factory in Sheffield, 300km north of our London Factory. We built this dedicated space as titanium requires different skills, machinery, and processes compared to steel.
The city of Sheffield has a rich history and legacy of expertise in metalworking. TIG Welding requires a high level of skill and coordination between hand, foot and eye. Even the most experienced welders need time and intense focus. Each welder has a signature style making every weld unique. We’re proud of what they do, that’s why each bike is marked by its maker.

Brompton is committed to quality; if our products have failed you in any way, please return them and we will either exchange them or give you your money back.
